Eddie Saint-Jean visual artist, photographer, filmmaker
Eddie Saint-Jean is an artist working in moving image and photography.
The artist’s videoworks are ‘uncanny‘ mixtapes of existence. A mishmash of ontological graffiti and scribbled random thoughts. The findings and thoughts of quantum physicist Niels Bohr, philosopher George Berkeley and sociologist Jean Baudrillard meet somewhere as the 3Bs. Do we exist at all? And are our memories real…actually ours? What is real?
The intersection of London nightlife, live music dens, skinny backstreet alleys, fashion, football, YouTube boxers, and philosophical ramblings on the night bus home. A lot of the work is in a state of ‘superposition’ with lots going on at the same time and collected on one canvas. The titles of the exhibited artworks are always presented like a tracklist on a mixtape.
